Music

Acknowledging the exalted mission Sacred Music has to the service of God and understanding the profound impact music has upon liturgical celebrations is what guides the efforts of the Musicians of the Basilica.

From organ accompaniment and cantors at midday liturgies leading the congregation in sacred song, to the Choir of the Basilica singing on Sundays and Solemnities throughout the year, to the Basilica’s four pipe Organs that not only add dignity and majesty to worship but have the unique ability to lead an assembly of thousands in prayer and praise, to a 56-bell Carillon heard on the hour beyond the walls of the Basilica, to Concerts and Recitals held throughout the year, to a Discography collection that allows you to bring a piece of all of these home, it is clear that Sacred Music is integral to worship at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.

We invite you to experience the beauty that Sacred Music brings to the Basilica!
