Devotional Gifts

   The Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception is pleased to offer a variety of devotional gifts to its benefactors. All donations made on behalf of these items are used to support the ministry of the National Shrine.

• Seasonal devotional gifts (novena enrollment cards, choir music, spiritual aids, etc.) will be offered through our website as they become available.

2012 Mother’s Day Novena Enrollment - As the month of May draws near, it is time to prepare for this Marian month by remembering those who, like our Blessed Mother, nurture us with maternal love and care.  This Mother’s Day enroll your mother, grandmothers, mother-in-law, sisters, aunts, Godmothers, and all those who have given you motherly care, in our Mother's Day Novena here at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. Those enrolled will be remembered in a Novena of Masses beginning on Mother’s Day, May 13, 2012. 

To ensure delivery before Mother's Day, please place all orders by Tuesday, May 1, 2012.

The suggested donation is $10.00 for (3) cards.  

2012 Mother’s Day Perpetual Enrollment - This year the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception is offering a limited special edition for Mother’s Day: The Perpetual Enrollment for Mothers. In addition to being remembered during the Mother’s Day Novena, which begins on Mother’s Day, May 13, 2012, those enrolled will be perpetually remembered during our monthly Novena of Masses and the daily Rosary.

This is a wonderful way to show your loving devotion to your mother and to the Blessed Virgin Mary—the model for all mothers.

Prayers for All Occasions - Throughout the years, Prayers for All Occasions has been one of the most popular books offered from the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. This book contains Marian prayers, prayers to the Saints, traditional prayers, prayers for various needs, the National Shrine Chapel Prayers, and prayers for vocations and occupations.

Our Lady in Art Calendar (2012) - Only available from the Basilica of the National Shrine, the calendar features liturgical seasons, feast days, holidays, as well as the Basilica's novenas. Each month portrays a masterful work of art featuring Our Lady, along with a corresponding traditional Marian prayer.  The Our Lady in Art Calendar for 2012 measures 11” X 16”, and makes a wonderful gift.

Scriptural Rosary - The Scriptural Rosary booklet is designed to aid in your prayer by providing material for reflection when contemplating each of the mysteries of the Rosary. Each of the twenty mysteries includes a Gospel passage and an excerpt from the Catechism of the Catholic Church. The Scriptural Rosary includes the Joyful Mysteries, the Mysteries of Light, the Sorrowful Mysteries, and the Glorious Mysteries.

Gospel Readings 2012 (Year B) -   The Gospel Readings booklet will assist in your reflection on the message of Our Lord Jesus Christ.  By studying the Word of the Lord in community and individually, we are equipped to not only live the Gospel, but also to spread the Good News. This book contains the Gospel reading from the Lectionary of Sacred Scripture used during each Sunday Mass of the liturgical year. Major feasts and solemnities are also included.

National Shrine Address Labels – Each set of address labels from the National Shrine includes 2 pages of (40 labels total) of self-adhesive labels with Marian images, as well as additional decorative stickers (40 stickers total). Labels may be personalized with up to 4 lines of information (limit 24 characters per line, including spaces) and are printed in Times New Roman font.

Marian Chapel Prayers - The prayers and artwork found in the Marian Chapel Prayers booklet are a reflection of both the richness and diversity of the Catholic Church in the United States. Twelve of the Basilica’s most visited chapels and oratories are featured in this book, along with their corresponding Marian prayer. Those featured include Our Lady Queen of Ireland, Mother of God (Eastern Rite Chapel), Our Lady of Hope, Our Lady of China, Our Lady of Lourdes, Immaculate Heart of Mary, Our Mother of Africa,  the Miraculous Medal, Our Lady of the Rosary, Queen of Missions, Our Lady of La Vang, and Our Lady of Guadalupe.

 Birthday Blessings Cards - As Catholics we give the most meaningful and lasting gift of prayer to those we know and love to mark the significant milestones in their lives. Our Birthday Blessings cards come packaged in a set of three (3) beautiful birthday cards that allow you to honor your friends and family with the gift of prayer. Those enrolled in our Birthday Remembrance Mass will be prayed for during the noon Mass on the second Saturday of the enrollee's birth month.
